Bloomsbury is not just a Sundays-only church. Plenty is happening during the week, too, including food, music, prayer and open church. Here are our weekday events.
Open Doors – the church is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm for visitors to drop in for a cup of tea and a chat, to read a newspaper, or for quiet reflection.
Tuesdays – October until June. Why not come and spend the day here? From 10.30am the Friendship Centre will be open for coffee and we’ll serve lunch from 12.30pm followed by a short talk and discussion, with a different speaker every week (1.15-1.45pm). After lunch folk can linger and chat with a cup of tea until we close at 3.30pm. Tuesday activities are overseen by Revd Martin Taylor, our Tuesday Chaplain.
Waiting prayer – a weekly opportunity (Tuesdays 2.15pm - 2.45pm) to explore the prayer of waiting – setting aside a short time to wait quietly and expectantly, in God’s presence, and see what will happen….
Wednesday recitals – in the spring, summer and autumn, we offer free recitals on Wednesdays at 6pm. Accomplished students from the London music colleges and academies, together with professional musicians, perform varied programmes. Click here for the current programme.
Xchange – meets on Wednesday evenings from 7pm for discussion, Bible study and prayer.
Home groups – gathering the church together in central London during the week can be challenging! But home groups meet regularly, currently in north, west, central/eastern and south London, for discussion, study and fellowship. Click here for details.
Disciples on the Way – Occasional programmes on a specific theme are offered at the church.
