Megabytes

The Bloomsbury Megabytes (Bloomsbury Young Thinking and Eating Society) is a group of young people aged 11 years+ (in senior school).

The group currently consists of about eight members, not including leaders, who meet on the first Sunday of each month at 2.00pm in one of the meeting rooms on the fourth floor.

During the meetings, we mainly discuss and then prepare the group's contribution to forthcoming events within the church. We recently finished off a PowerPoint presentation about the group (which has been brewing since the club began) and gave it to Brian Haymes when he left. However, the meetings are generally far from serious!

One of the great things we all like about the club meetings is that they are fun and enable everyone to socialise and laugh with each other! The meetings generally conclude with a small picnic and the specially devised Megabytes prayer that everyone has the opportunity to take part in.

The club also goes on an enjoyable annual weekend away in early September. This year they went to Carroty Wood near Tunbridge. (click here for picture gallery)
