A year of intercessions

Our minister, Simon Perry, has written a series of intercessions for use during the church year.

For the Children caught in the Middle East Conflict

Make the world today a place where the Lebanese child:
can begin a day without fear of when it might end.
can be greeted by a mother’s eyes that are not darkened by fear.
can drink water without worrying when her next sip may be.
can enjoy a meal without worrying about where the next will come from.
can make it from dawn till dusk without being shaken by another bomb.
can sleep at night without the frightening roar of the jets above.

Make the world today a place where the Israeli child:
can wake in his own home instead of as an evacuee
can hold a father’s hand that does not tremble with worry.
can be free of the grief that fills those who surround him.
can sleep in his own bed with a true sense of peace.
