Friends of Bloomsbury
The Friends of Bloomsbury scheme has enormous value for us. It strengthens our fellowship and outreach, broadens our view of the world and helps us be a more effective Christian witness in it. Also, gifts received from Friends will allow us to do things we cannot currently contemplate, depending on the level of support we receive. Click here for some examples of what might be possible, with your help.
How we can help you
The benefits of being a Friend of Bloomsbury are not
merely one way. We keep in close touch with you by sending you
our magazine, annual report and other information we produce
from time to time. Friends are also welcome to send us news
to be included in our literature. Our hope is that most Friends
will be able to visit Bloomsbury at least once in a while to
attend a service and join us for a concert, lecture, meal or
some other social gathering. From time to time special events,
such as dinners or lectures, will be arranged with the interests
of Friends in mind.
What is the cost?
We do not see fundraising as the primary function of Friends of Bloomsbury. Our main objective is to increase our worldwide fellowship. That's why we invite Friends to contribute whatever they wish, either as a one-off donation, on an annual basis, or in the form of a legacy. As we are a charitable body, we are also able to reclaim the tax on your gift, which increases the value of your giving at no extra cost to you. For those who pay tax in the UK, a simple Gift Aid form is available. Those who pay tax in other countries are invited to discuss this with the church office.
