Muriel Black
When did you first come to Bloomsbury, and why?
In 1970. When my husband Don left a church in North London to work at Church House, we were looking around for another church to attend. We had heard of Howard Williams (who was then the minister here), came to some services and stayed on.
What do you admire and enjoy most about the church?
The friendship of the people, the morning services each Sunday, and the variety of people I meet each week.
What one aspect do you especially love?
The sense of togetherness. The tremendous feeling of support and caring when times are difficult which I experienced so much when Don died. Also the sharing of good times and fun together.
What do you hope for the future of Bloomsbury?
Bloomsbury should be known as a friendly church where people feel welcome and where the Word of God is preached.
Do you have a memorable moment of an event at the church?
There have been so many happy times, but I especially think of Don's thanksgiving service, when so many people came to remember him.
