Church Life

James Fisher

Church Manager

When did you first come to Bloomsbury, and why?

I was looking for a new challenge, and was excited by the ethos and location of Bloomsbury.

What do you admire and enjoy most about the church?

I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I admire the openness of the church, interpreting the bible for the modern day, engaging with the wider community in practical, positive, meaningful ways.

What one aspect do you especially love?

Bloomsbury's non-judgemental approach, it's acceptance of all people.

What do you hope for the future of Bloomsbury?

That it can invest in the future, recognising the need to continue to change and transform, adapting to the challenges of the world around it today, as it has throughout its history.

Do you have a memorable moment of an event at the church?

We have a number of celebrities that use our facilities here. Robert Lindsay, stood out in particular, who just seemed an all-round nice guy!

Our next Sunday Service is:

23rd February 2020

11:00am - 12:00pm

We offer thoughtful and reverent worship, with an impressive pipe organ, a choir, and a liturgical style. Our preaching is progressive, and inclusive in its theology and application. Our Sanctuary is wheelchair accessible, and we produce our service sheets in large print versions.

Followed by Sunday Meal:

12:30pm - 1:30pm

The congregation share a light and affordable meal, together with people from the local community.
