It was World Peace Day on Wednesday and we met in the foyer to pray together. We opened the doors so that we could hear the noise and so that people could see in.
It is always an interesting experience to pray with the doors open. There is no avoiding the outside world, no getting away form the noise, no hiding place.
That seems appropraite when we are praying for peace. If peace has no place in the midts of the noise, the movement, the demands of the centre of the city, then it is not real. And if our prayer can have no place in wuch a n envirboment, then it is unrela.
It is a privilege to open the doors and pray for our world.
