Practicing prayer; Gratitude 2 (with apologies for being late!)

Meister Eckhart, the medieval theologian and mystic said “If you say no prayer but thank you, that is enough”.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to explore saying thank you.

 

This week, find some time to be quiet and sit in a comfortable position. Take 10 deep breaths.

Let your attention focus on something that has been difficult in the last two days; a person, a situation, a story you have heard.

Invite the Spirit to show you something to say thank you for - and say thank you. 

Notice how, if at all, that changes your reaction
