Practising Gratitude 3

Meister Eckhart, the medieval theologian and mystic said “If you say no prayer but thank you, that is enough”.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to explore saying thank you.

 

This week, find some time to be quiet and sit in a comfortable position. Take 10 deep breaths.

 

Bring to mind something of beauty that you have noticed this week; perhaps something natural, or something made by a skilled person, or made by somebody you love, or an act that was kind, or a piece of music....or whatever it is that has spoken to you of beauty and delight.

 

Give thanks for it, and for the window into all the beauty of the world that it opens for you.

Invite the Spirit to help you see beauty in all parts of your life.
