Last night we had the first of our Bloomsbury 'Summer Strolls' (each Monday in July) - people take it in turns to lead them, and it's a great opportunity to make new friends, get to know old friends in a new way, and see places in London that we may not know. And it always ends with a pint and a meal in a pub!
Nigel took us on the Parkland Walk, which follows the route of the long-abandoned Edgware, Highgate and London railway. Visible reminders of the industrial past were there to see, alongside the beautiful wildlife that has reclaimed the area, and lots of graffiti.
One of the challenges we face as a city-centre church is that most of us live in different parts of London from each other, and so only see one another in 'church mode'. One of the joys of the 'Summer Strolls' is that we get to see each other socially, and to know each other better.
