We have been talking about how we share Sunday lunch at Bloomsbury for some years… and have consulted widely both with those who currently come for Sunday lunch, and with those who don’t. We’ve also taken careful account of the needs of those who are vulnerable and homeless.
Change is never easy, but sometimes staying as we have been is no longer the right thing to do either, so…
… we’re making some changes, which are starting this coming Sunday 6th May.
Here are a few details:
Coffee before the service. The Friendship Centre will be closed before the service. There will be pots of coffee and cups on the serving area in the foyer, and members arriving early will be encouraged to self service, and also to offer a welcome to others. This free coffee service is available to everyone.
After the service everyone should make their way downstairs where free coffee and tea will be served straight away, and lunch will be available 20 minutes after the service ends.
Lunch guests will be able to choose from a menu of soup and roll,(£1) hot meal,(£2) coffee/tea and cake (50p).
Please note that there will be no free meals – people will be asked to pay for the food they choose.
