Stop Press: Our activities during COVID-19

We would love to make contact with you through these difficult times.

Join us online each Sunday morning at 11am.

Bloomsbury has always been committed to serving the community both locally and globally. Although nearly all our physical activities are currently suspended, we are using social media to maintain – and even increase – our outreach, not only to Londoners but to people who live in other parts of the UK and indeed overseas.

In particular we offer an accessible and informal Sunday morning service at 11am live on Zoom and Facebook, and afterwards on YouTube. These have been effective in enabling participation in worship not only by our members, but by many other who have never visited the church itself. You are welcome to join us, and contribute through the ‘chat’ as we share fellowship together.

Bloomsbury’s vision is ‘Provoking Faith in the heart of London’. At this time we are physically distanced from each other, and our online gathering creates a context for nurturing faith, building community, deepening relationships, creating sanctuary, and confronting injustice.

Further opportunities for study and discussion

Our fortnightly study group meets via Zoom on Wednesday evenings, please contact our Minister Simon Woodman for the latest information. Recent topics have included studying the book of Philippians, and a series exploring the impact and influence of Gospel Music with featured guest speakers from the USA.

Pastoral response to COVID-19

Bloomsbury is doing all it can to respond pastorally and practically to the Coronavirus epidemic. Prayer is an important feature of Christian living, and we ask everyone to remember before God those who are vulnerable and lonely, and those who are facing financial hardship as a result of this evolving situation. We invite people seeking solace or help, or wishing to express thanks or joy, to contact the church confidentially so we can hold you in prayer. If you are aware of anyone in crisis or particular need, please contact our Minister Simon Woodman using the contact form on the website.

Whether your faith is strong or weak or even non-existent, we extend a warm invitation to participate in one or more of our current activities.
