'Once a month the organ next door to my office is tuned, one pipe at a time, and it is not beautiful. Sunday's sermon on the first four commandments, and why being in tune with God isn't a mood.' - Revd Dr Simon Woodman
Church Life

When did you first come to Bloomsbury, and why?
In August 2022. I had a job offer as the Church Operations Manager
What do you admire and enjoy most about the church?
Bloomsbury embraces all different cultures, backgrounds, and identities. Nobody is excluded here.
What one aspect do you especially love?
The warmth of being “at home” – Bloomsbury is very friendly and organised.
What do you hope for the future of Bloomsbury?
I would love to see more activities going on here, throughout the week.
Do you have a memorable moment of an event at the church?
The Bloomsbury Festival that included a silent movie double-bill with organ accompaniment, on our amazing pipe organ. It featured the world renowned organist Donald MacKenzie accompanying Buster Keaton's classic The General, and concert organist Aaron Hawthorne accompanying the German gothic horror film Nosferatu.
